Rachel is a registered and licensed dietitian who has always loved food (from veggies to cinnamon rolls) but learned to truly appreciate it when she made the connection between how our eating habits strongly affect our health. She loves being able to share how we can use food to heal, recover, nourish, energize, and feel good from the inside out.
She believes that eating is much more then a physical act – it’s very psychological. Her mission is to help people develop a healthy relationship with food while achieving their health/weight goals by personalizing nutrition.
Why personalize nutrition? So many diets and food claims promote a “one size fits all” approach. Rachel believes in the opposite and that “one size fits one” as every person and everyBODY is unique.
Over the past 5 years she has been privileged to work with hundreds of individuals, one-on-one and within group settings, to help them improve their health and form lifestyle behaviors that lead to sustainable results. Her philosophy is that when working towards a weight or health goal it is important to develop individual strategies that involve delicious food, flexible eating, realistic lifestyle changes/tweaks, and a “progress, not perfection” mindset. Rachel also loves being able to cheer on her clients every step of the way. She believes that support, accountability, and motivation are key ingredients to forming and working on healthy habits.
Rachel completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition & Food Science from Drexel University, in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her Master’s Degree in Nutrition & Wellness and dietetic internship at Benedictine University, which provided her with over 1200 hours of training in various settings such as clinical, food service, and community nutrition.
